After months of national selections which fascinated the country, the final election of Miss China Universe was held last night, Friday 18th of May, in Ningbo, Yinzhou. Wei Ziya, Miss Chongqing dominated the swim suit and the evening dress sections before being crowned queen of the evening.

Wei Ziya - 魏子雅 born in October 1984 and measures 1m75 for 52kg.

Wei Ziya will compete with 80 other Miss World candidates for the international title of Miss Universe 2008. The election will take place on the 14th of July 2008 in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
