Taipei model Jamie Lin, 24, was crowned today in Taichung and will represent Taiwan at Miss World 2008 contest in Johannesburg on December 13th, under the title Miss Chinese Taipei.

Miss Taiwan contestants must be at least 1.65 meters (5ft 4ins) tall, and between 18 and 25 years old.

Participation in the global beauty contest will mark Taiwan's return to the Miss World beauty pageant since 2005, when a Taiwanese beauty last competed there under the title of "Chinese Taipei."
