23 year-old Guangdong student Cici Chen won the title of Miss Chinese Vancouver 2008 on Saturday and will represent the city at the Miss Chinese International 2009 pageant next year in Foshan, China. The runners-up are Shuyi Lu and Jiana Ling.

Miss World 2007, Zhang Zilin of China crowned her successor, Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia, the new Miss World tonight in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Valentane Huang, 25  was crowned Miss Singapore Chinatown 2008 on December 9th. She'll represent Singapore at the Miss Chinese International 2009 pageant next year in Foshan, China. The runners-up are Novie Lim and Serene Zhao.

Heilongjiang contestant Ma Qing, 19, won the first place at the 16th New Silk Road China model contest final in Sanya on sunday evening. Some 49 models from across the country took part in the pageant.
