Are you living in Indonesia? I know in many places Chinese are not very well liked there. Love doesn't follow what people say though, just do what you think is right nad don't worry about if it's usual or not. Re: How does a Chinese boy fall in love with a girl?

One reason is that a lot of Hong Kong Chinese moved there and brought large amounts of money and bought a lot of the Indonesian's businesses. In 1998 there were a large number of Chinese killed in Indonesia. Though I'm sure the problems are much more complicated than just that. I don't know so much about it to be honest. Just know in a lot of the country Chinese are not very welcomed. Re: How does a Chinese boy fall in love with a girl?

Southeast Asia is like that. They hate Chinese because they dominate most of the wealth and opportunities over there. And Chinese themsleves don't like to share. Reason why in Malaysia they made it the law that Businesses require at least one Malay as partner. Re: How does a Chinese boy fall in love with a girl?

Don't forget Canada was found by european immigrants, and european descent people is majority, chinese is the one should learn to blend in mainstream culture, you are turn british columbia into a big Chinatown from mainstream society.stop building chiantown anymore, you are the one who start culture war in north america, why not peaceful and accept the founder's culture? Multi-Culture for chinese is a big joke, look at how intolerant chinese are toward different views,If chinese dominate Canada, they are going to kick anyone who won't accept intolerant nationalistic chinese culture and it's intolerant "no freedom for free speech, harmony only"value.they would
crack down anyone who don't follow so called"harmony only" rule I am sure about it. Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 11/16/2009 07:51AM by Kurt. Re: How does a Chinese boy fall in love with a girl?

Unless chinese shake off their communist, unambiguous logically,narrow-minded nationalistic mentality, and bad habits of chinese culture heritage(Like unhygienic, inconsiderate habits)I don't think chinese immigrants would be beneficial for their host country.
most chinese only wait foreigners to accept and appreciate chinese culture and values, but rarely try to accept and appreciate other's culture and values.this is typical traits of unwelcome immigrants. Re: How does a Chinese boy fall in love with a girl?

Canada is not the USA. Canada is built on the idea of allowing other cultures to maintain their sense of selfl and it works well. Re: How does a Chinese boy fall in love with a girl?

If canada is built on chinese values, canada won't be a tolerant country. Re: How does a Chinese boy fall in love with a girl?

Luckily it's not and there are laws in place to ensure it remains tolerant. If they start removing those laws they would have a lot of very angry people on their hands. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
