"The attractive hot girl who will go out with a good guy friend when he needs to look good at a party or other social event. Not an escort, but a friend." that's wing girl. like, do you guys go out to bar and nightclub with wing girls in China? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/05/2009 03:16AM by Olive. Whether a boy or a girl ---好朋友.
If you love her and she love you too---女朋友. Re: Does chinese guy like to have a wing girl ?

I've never seen or heard of it happening here in China.
And not wingboy, Wingman. For those curious it comes from Air Force Pilots, when you are in a plane looking to shoot down other planes your friends int he planes around you are called your wingmen. They help you stay alive and get your goal. When you go to a bar if you bring a Wingman or Wingwoman they can help you get the girl by either talking to her first to find out what she's like, give you encouragement or helping you get out of the situation if it turns bad. Bringing an attractive female friend with you to the bar is a great idea becuase it shows females like you, it shows you aren't some weirdo and you probably know how to be nice to women. In China I don't see so many guys and girls who are just friends, most of the time if they hang out it's because they are dating so I dont' think this strategy is so common here. well, in my town, if i go out, i need have a wing girl to bars, otherwise it's so creepy to go to bar by myself.
then i was in China, no girls wanna talk to me neither, even i tried to talk to them in Mandarin or in English....no luck at all. “lost in translation” maybe? it's just weird, i tried to talk to a Russian girl, then all other guys were so uncomfortable, look like wanna fight me or what... so culture shock in the bar...I guess I talk to some dude’s Russian girlfriend?? then i ended up talking to a dude from Norway about hockey shit...haha... but strange thing is, that Norwegian dude is like my dad’s age, he has no trouble talking to all young Chinese girls. I was joking with him, dude, make sure you check their ID eh? Shenzhen eh? the thing really bothers me is, why people in the bar do not talk to each other, like chat? What’s the point of coming to the bar?? Even waitress? Like they seem to rush into order, I was like :”hey, happy chinese new year, omg, this is such a nice place, what’s new in this area?” “ok, what do you wanna order?” After all, it’s still much chill here in Canada, people talk to each other, I don’t feel dangerous… weird.. it's much easy to make friends in Canada.....you feel less pressure or tense down here. i don't know, it's stupid, on my vacation, i ended up talking to all Canadian or American in the bar, because chinese do not wanna talk to me.. WTF? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/05/2009 07:34AM by Canuck. Re: Does chinese guy like to have a wing girl ?

Ok, i can understand that .
"couture shork"really existes. most chinese people are cautious with strangers. but there are still many people who are willing to make friends. trust me . Re: Does chinese guy like to have a wing girl ?

I never heard wing girl or boy i heard of a "Wing nut" that holds bits of furniture together, taking that to a party you will just look dame stupid unless the crap Ikea stuff made in China falls apart as mine does then it will be useful ![]() Re: Does chinese guy like to have a wing girl ?

I think the term is suppose to be Wingman. But for a girl not sure what you would call it. Winggirl seems appropriate. Re: Does chinese guy like to have a wing girl ?

i think wing girl is a term from UK..
people are so be careful what they said in China... they do not like to talk to strangers, i feel uncomfy of that. because i am a outgoing person. i guess people can tell i am from out of town right away, somehow i can feel people are looking at me pretty weird, hey, i am chinese too...don't look at me like this??? i did wear a big leaf T-shirt in China, yes, Canadian flag with MJ leaf? i don't know if this is the reason?
