Hi there,
Does anybody see Michael's film"this is it"? What u think about it ? ![]() Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 11/06/2009 01:56PM by Olive. I think the guy liked to diddle little boys and was an all around freak, I wouldn't be caught dead watching any movies about him. Guy was a nutjob to the 10th power. I'm going to second what Brian said. Now that he's dead everyone is trying to whitewash his history and it's sick. the guy was SERIOUSLY messed in the head... He stated that he likes sleeping with little boys, just denied he ever touched them. But I don't care if he did or didn't touch them, when you, as an adult, claim to enjoy sleeping with little boys... that's messed up. partly agree, yes guy was mesed up but whose fault was it???? PARENTS
Those pushy parents that want to get rich off back of their kids. MJ was in lime light since toddler of course it going mess up ones brain,i think it happens to all child stars if you go back through archives. Also have to remember MJ was in a fact abused himself not just physically but mentally too. MJ was talented despite personal issues that affected his life. I have not watch the movie not sure i would. Yeah it was definitely the parents fault but I just get sick of how we give famous people a pass on what are obviously SERIOUS psychological problems. If he wasn't MJ he would have been sent to a psychologist a long time ago and maybe could have had a more normal life... I'm not going to celebrate what was a complete failure of our society to help a guy who was in desperate need of understanding and help... Well lets be fair, the guy was a grown man, capable of making his own decisions, aren't you all just whitewashing things again by removing responsibility from him and placing it on his parents? Lot's of people have messed up childhoods and go on not to diddle little boys, it's really no excuse.
Indeed his parents are responsible for his childhood being a wreak, but once he became an adult he owned his actions, as well as the responsibility to see that he had problems and needed help. He instead chose not to get help, and instead to embrace his flaws and foibles. He dealt with the consequences of his mistakes by throwing money at them so they would go away. All in all, "he" made a lot of mistakes, not his parents. The guy really needs to own his actions. Many people use their parents as an excuse for a messed up adulthood, but in truth, no matter what ones background might be, these are all just excuses. We all ultimately have the power to do what we want, and be what we choose, it's all about actions and being aware enough to know yourself. That Michael was abused is irrelevant in my opinion, as he had plenty of time and opportunities to get help and change, he did neither, those were his choices. I don't feel sorry for the guy at all. That's mostly what I wish would have happened, force the guy to get help... > Many people use their parents as an excuse for a > messed up adulthood, but in truth, no matter what > ones background might be, these are all just > excuses. I don't feel > sorry for the guy at all. But everyone around him kept telling him he was fine. He had millions of fans everywhere he went telling him he was fine and loving him. It's hard to see you need help when everyone you meet just keeps telling you it's not you who is wrong. This isn't to absolve him from his actions, this is to look at what us, as a society, value and how fucked our society is that, just because some guy made some famous music, we give him a free pass to do whatever he wants.... I doubt anyone told him it was ok to be a pedophile, I think he knew what he was doing was wrong. Let's not blame society, I mean honestly, celebrity is just another excuse, as is society. While I get your point, I do hope it's not just another excuse. As for society, blame the media that makes people into Gods, when in truth they are nothing special. I never did like his music personally, and don't see where his appeal came from, to be perfectly honest. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/06/2009 01:58PM by Olive.
