As a western girl (I'm Dutch/Portuguese, living in Holland), it's not common to prefer Asians. Here in Holland live quite many Asians, but in general Asians like to hang out with Asians, not with other people.

As I said, I prefer Asians. Not only as boyfriends (I'm not that kind of girl), but as friends too. Most of my friends are Asian, or western-girls like me, who prefer anything Asian. Well, I can proudly say that I'm together with a Chinese guy for more than 2 years already, who completes me. Our parents are totally fine with it, his mother is even very excited about it. And we fit eachother because he is fine with me as I am, and prefers western people. He immigrated with his mother to Holland when he was 12, his family is still in China. And I had to opportunity to meet them already. Last year. They asked me to go with them to China, and I really loved it there. Can't wait to go back again!

Well, I know there are people thinking negative about it, some are positive.
I just like to hear your oppinion, and I'll answer questions too.

Well this parahgraph really sounds like a manifesto giving a whole new meaning to the western womens' right movement, cause there are thousands of western men came to china to find chinese wifes every year. And why chinese women go with them? Wealth.

It reminds me some Jane Austins's novel discussing the confliction between love, money, indentity and happiness. It might be harder and tougher for yours to go on comparing with the combination of white guys and chinese girls. But I think you are creating a true love story by yourself, isn't that great enough?

There are misunderstanding and wrong image for both asian boys and western girls to each other cause of many social and interculture reasons. In respect of this, why not tell us sth about that in what aspects do you think he, or your relationship compelets you? What do you think him to be different from western boys and what reason bring you together by making 'things out a little',as the upstair comments?

Yes all this inter-racial things is just a fad. Chinese guy should find a nice Chinese gal and live happily ever after.

Wealth? That's a joke: If there's money back home these guys won't even be in China. Women only wanted an identity and that special magic called a "green card". Green = USA = US money = well everyone knows. It's not because you have sexual prowess even though you turn Chinese women into sex slaves / maids.

those guys you refered to are called white trash, sexy jerks, whatever. And that's not what I talked about. I talked about serious relationships. There are serious white guys searching for chinese women here in China, I should confess. But that doesn't mean they can always bring them happiness.

I've been to Europe and I met a lot of extinguish western girls, both outside and inside. Things depends on individual and you cann't generally judge from their origin. Western girls have their problem. But aren't there enough materialistic and spoiled chinese girls in our PEOPLE's REPUBLIC of CAPITALISM?

Anyway, multi-racial should makes love more beautiful, i think, despite that some related stories, like 'L'amant', totally ignored this aspect.

Just that living in China I see lots of foreign guys dating Chinese girls so it's nice to see the opposite sometimes haha

I agree with you, while the other messages make me a bit sad.
You know, it's not about money or things like that. We don't even care.
Neither of us is rich, and the families are happy for us.
So I don't get everyone's problem.
He completes me because he can give me what I need. (and I meen the good feelings and happiness)
It's hard to explain or discribe, but Chinese (Asians in general) men are very different than western men, which I don't like.

hi in my opinion,i don't think there is a good gap between the western and asian only if u really love each other. maybe in the first several years u two have sth. different especially in the brain.

I'm happy to know that everything is going well with your relationship. I really felt identified when reading some of your perspectives about western and asian guys. I'm 18 years old and it happens to me that I only interact with Asian people (98% of my friends is Asian, the other 2% likes or is interested in Asian culture), which is not very common for people here in South America. It was a bit weird for me, some people have even told me that I'm obsessed about Asia, and that's not true. What I feel about it is very possitive, that world looks very attractive to me, and I'd love to visit it soon (or I might go to Holland instead! if they are that many, I can practice Asian languages there hahaha). Now I'm doing as much as I can to learn Chinese (mandarin). Well, hasn't been easy, but it's quite lovely. I just wanted to wish you good luck with evrything you like and want to do.
