Hey everybody!! I just wanted to warn you about a case of fraud on here!! It is very important that you listen to this. I warn you just because I don't want anybody to fall for this person's fraud. If you have gotten a message from Loveth2love, DO NOT REPLY!!!! I replied, and got an e-mail that goes like this:

Hello Dearest KaiLi.

I am more than happy in your urgent reply to my mail.
How was your day?.mine was cool over here in Darker Senegal .
My name is Loveth Okana single from Ivory coast in west Africa and presently i am residing in the refugee camp here in Dakar as a result of the civil war going on in my country.

My late father Dr Wilson Okana was the personal advicer to the former head of state before the rebels attacked my house one early morning killing my mother and my father.It was only me that is alive now and i managed to make my way to near by country Senegal where i am leaving now as a refugee.

Honestly my day's is not so Good since i came over here in Dakar Senegal In this prison called refugee camp we are only allowed to go out only on Mondays and Fridays of the weeks.Its just like one staying in the prison and i hope by Gods grace i will come out here soon.

I don't have any relatives now whom i can go to all my relatives ran away in the middle of the war the only person i have now is Rev.Emmanuel George who is the pastor of the (Christ for all Churches) here in the camp he has been very nice to me since i came here but i am not living with him rather i am leaving in the women's hostel because the camp have two hostels one for men the other for women.

The Pastors Tel number is ( 00-221-76-38-442-97) if you call tell him that you want to speak with me he will send for me in the hostel. As a refugee here i don't have any right or privilege to any thing be it money or whatever because it is against the law of this country.I want to go back to my studies because i only attended my first year before the traggic incident that lead to my being in this situation now took place.

Please listen to this,i have my late father's statement of account and death certificate here with me which i will send to you latter,because when he was alive he deposited some amount of money in a leading bank in United Kingdom which he used my name as the next of kin,the amount in question is $9.7M(Nine millon seven Hundred Thousand Dollars).So i will like you to help me transfer this money to your account and from it you can send some money for me to get my traveling documents and air ticket to come over to meet with you.

I kept this secret to people in the camp here the only person that knows about it is the Reverend because he is like a father to me.So in the light of above i will like you to keep it to yourself and don't tell it to anyone for i am afraid of loosing my life and the money if people gets to know about it.Remember i am giving you all this information due to the trust i deposed on you.I like honest and understanding people,truthful and a man of vision,truth and hardworking.My favorite language is English but our language is french but i speak English very fluently.

Meanwhile i will like you to call me like i said i have alot to tell you.And

I was suspicious of the message when I read it, so I typed Dr. Wilson Okana into Google, and I found a website that told about a fraud they encountered. The message was the same, and uses morals to suck you in. Please, please, PLEASE do not fall into this trap!!!! I hope all of you will avoid this fraud!!

Unfortunately, it is advisable to be suspicious of anything claiming to come from Senegal. It seems that none of the individuals sending private messages speak French... this is impossible, as any educated Senegalese person would know how to speak it.

This is soooo old and tried sooo many times.... the REv. doesn't have any connection with the main church I am sure is abroad?
Come on do not be so naive. An if the total is so big and his father so important they don't have any connection abroad either....

hey peoplese if you use internet, you need know about advertising. They send different advertising in email all time.
This letter from Loveth Okana advertising too.
Dont answer her cos she will ask you send a money for her.
I all time delet spam letters.

thats why i stopped using my yahoo mail, because the yahoo mail spam protection is useless to stop these kind of frauds. i used to get alot of emails all about money transaction (scams).
the question is where do they find your email?
we often leave our email in comments in webs like hi5, zorpia, myspace etc. and they copy it. they also get our email adresses from the forwarded emails, because one forwarded email has hundreds of email adresses of different people.

Ne vous inquiétez pas... nous devrions tous savoir qu'on prend des risques en répondant à chaque mail dont nous ne connaissons pas l'origine. J'espere qu'il y a vraiment des Sénégalais légitimes par ici qui voudraient apprendre le chinois.

La première fois que j'ai reçu un tel mail, la nana prétendait pouvoir parler allemand. J'ai répondu en allemand, et puis je n'ai jamais plus entendu parler d'elle... en fait, un bon conseil serait de répondre en chinois simple... juste une petite idée.
