About Us:
Brief Introduction
As an independent full-time institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education, our University is located in Shangqiu City, a famous historical and cultural city as well as a top tourist destination. Enjoying an advantageous geographic location and a comfortable climate, Shangqiu has a long history with numerous prominent figures gathering here.
Currently, our university covers an area of more than 2000 Mu with 13,000 full-time in-school students. Its present total asset values 0.75 billion Yuan including a construction area of more than 40 million square meters. The campus here is both elegant and enchanting, where the teaching area, administrating area, living part and entertainment part are scattered in a picturesque order and are reasonably proportioned. The unique architectural design, attracting garden as well as the ingenious sculpture all embody the rich cultural heritage of ancient eastern Henan.
Institutes
Presently，it consists of 9 colleges and 1 department, including the Business School, College of Business Administration, College of Computer Science & Technology, Foreign Languages College, Communication & Art College, School of Electronics & Information Engineering, College of Landscape Architecture, College of Liberal Arts, School of Sports Science as well as one department for the teaching of Ideological and Political Education Theory，offering 28 majors for undergraduates and 15 majors for professional students.
Faculty
At present, our university has more than
700 faculty and staff, with over 35% professors
& associated professors and 46% postgraduates. Besides, a group of famous experts and professors from some key universities in China are invited directly to get engaged in the teaching, which is not only conducive to forming a teaching body with a high quality and enriching teaching experience, but also greatly promote teaching work.
Campus
Now it has many teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, student apartments, stadium, baths, dining facilities and so on. Its library contains about 1.2 million volumes, and 0.3 million volumes of electrical books. The college has a computer center, language laboratories, audio-visual, multimedia learning centers and other teaching facilities and the teaching instruments and equipments worth more than 60 million. Campus network, restaurants, supermarkets, bath, heating, postal services, banks (ATMs) and other kinds of service facilities are complete. There are Standardized school plastic playground, various cultural and sports activities facilities which can fully meet the needs of teachers and students in the college. The aim of our efficient
administration is to provide a quiet, clean, excellent environment for teaching, learning, researching and other work.
