The North Korea thread

DPRK's Committee for Peace and reunification of the Nation made an unilateral, absurd statement stating that "the South Korean government is forcing tension between the two Koreas" and that "all military political agreements between South and North Korea are nullified".
What is the reason for drawing the attention of the world through this nonsensical declaration?
Because of South Korea's policies toward DPRK that threaten their system and regime? To draw the attention of the new Obama administration?
For the last ten or more years, South Korea was not hesitant in providing humanitarian aid to the DRPK and has lead exchanges between the two nations through two summit meetings despite tension between their militaries brought by systematic and ideological differences.
Nevertheless, the DRPK is only interested in maintaining their system. They have not abided by agreements made during past South Korea-DPRK summit meetings nor have they kept any promise with the international society.
A week has not passed since Kim Jong Il met up with Wang Zha Lui, head of China's external liaison department, and said "I do not want tension in the Korean Peninsula, I respect the six party talks." Why would the DRPK want anxiety in the Korean Peninsula once again through absurd claims.
The DPRK must realize that actions like such only worsen financial difficulties and incur isolation from the international society.

DPRK can only exist in isolation though. The people of North Korea are told that the world loves Jung Il and his late-father. They are taught that North Korea is a wonderful nation and is looked up to by the rest of the world....

Why are they making problems? Why do they ever... Kim Jung Il is a megalomaniac and loves conflict or something. Simply put he seems pretty nuts.

Eh..Kim Jung Il is a bit messed up I agree...but south korea is backed by the US, meaning they are controlled by the richest men in the world from European nations. So I half way suspect that there may have been some fowl play from South Korea as well.

To be honest the situation will never be good for both sides of korea in a whole until that country is reunited...and even then that doesn't exactly mean things will get a whole lot better either.

Beware of what the Western media says. Even the BBC lies. If you want the real truth of what is happening with Korea read what everyone from around the world is saying about it. Somewhere in there you will find the truth.

I am not one to jump on the USA's side of things (in fact this is probably one of the first time I have ever haha) but Kim Jung Il is nuts. I trust what he says less than I trust George Bush Jr says and if Bush told me the sky was Blue I'd assume it was Green then go to check myself....

That said all sides of that situation are acting crazy lately. really hoping they hold it together till at least the end of the month as I'm going there in a couple days....

Ah yes I agree he's nuts. He spends more time worying about movies than he should. I found out a year or 2 ago that he sends letters to producers and directors telling them what they could have done to make the movie better. To be honest I wish he would step down as leader of North Korea and come to Hollywood and make movies.

Anyway to be honest I don't know who is crazier Bush or Kim, but we don't have Bush anymore so we don't need Kim either lol.

And good luck while in Korea dude.

Kim Jung Il is a poor man who has to take care of his property(DPRK) that he inherited from his father.

I was passed on some info about Kim Jong Il and his father. If you look at the Chinese characters for their names. His father's name could be translated to "The King Who Fucked" and for Kim Jong Il it could be translated to "The King Who Is Fucking".

That's what a few friends passed on to me. We laughed about it for a while.

You hear he kidnapped a South Korean Director and his family and then forced him to make movies for him?

NK has also kidnapped a ton of other South Koreans, Japanese, Thai and Romanian people...

Scary place that one...

I knew about stories of South Koreans and Japanese but I didn't know Thai and Romanian people too.

I didn't either actually until I was trying to remember if there was a Japanese actress who got taken too or what. Not sure if they were caught on purpose or what though... hard to mistake Romanians for Japanese though...

China must help put a stop on NK's military threats
Posted by: Poohahafun (IP Logged)
Date: February 20, 2009 01:28AM
Recently, NK has suspended communications with S.Korea and nullified previous peace negotiation known as the 'inter-Korean Basic Agreement'.

Also, recent NK's Taepodong 2 ballistic missile test preparation not only caught the world's attention, but also intensified the NLL.

Throughout the years, the S.Korean government has embraced humanitarian approaches and tried to solve any conflicts through talks between the two nations.

However in return, the NK has been criticizing S.Korean's administration and making military threats by developing nuclear arms and initiating missile tests.

If the NK initiates an invasion on the S.Korea, the casualties and damages would be catastrophic.

Therefore China, Russia, and other close range nations must help put a stop on NK's military threats by encouraging the NK to engage in peaceful talks.
From this, the two Koreas will once again achieve credibility internationally and bring stability in the Korean peninsula as well as world peace.....

The real problem between North and South Korea are the extremely rich people from the US and Europe. They are the reason why there are so many problems in the East as it is. They influence everything that they want because they have the money to do it.

Now I don't know what they want over there, but I'll tell you this. I know their general goal is just to own as much as possible over there. So it's hard to say what is going on.

This is all true but South Korea is also a problem lately with their new conservative government causing massive problems as well. That's why the train between the two countries has been stopped and why relations have grown cold again after years of improvements. Both sides need to do their part to fix this problem, including The USA, China and Russia

I do find it funny that China, like a big brother, goes in once in a while to North Korea and smacks them in the back of the head and tells them to calm down. It's rather amusing.

maybe it is only a diplomatic games.
NK's economy is very worrying, and so......

NK is very instability and them need something to solve the internal contradictions.

Satellite? or Missile? Can you believe Kim jung il?
Posted by: Poohahafun (IP Logged)

Claiming they are launching a satellite, North Korea ignored warnings from America, UN, Japan. North Korea even disregarded the advice of their ally, China.

The idea that North Korea is launching a satellite instead of a missile in the era of economic crisis is preposterous.

The ballistic missile will destabilize the peace of north east asia and it will become a serious threat to United States, South Korea and Japan. This is why The neighboring nations should prevent North Korea from launching the so called satellite to maintain the stability of the Korean Peninsula.
What do you think?

Why? You think if they don't they'll use the money to buy their citizens health care?

That area is already destabalized, when the US and China stop spending billions on Military during the economic crisis they can start telling other countries how to spend their money.

North Korea has every right to do as they see fit. And I'm sure North Korea understands what problems they will have if they attack anyone first. So as far as I see it, who cares what the hell they do, they know better and they really won't go too far unless they are tricked into it in the first place. It wouldn't be the first time the US did shit on purpose just to get in on a war or start a war. Anyone remember Pearl Harbor??

Enough said.

Watch out!!

Conducting Missile Experiment!!

Suspension of 6 Party Talks!!

Detaining U.S Jounalists!!

Recently, North Korea has been creating a mess that is unforgivable at any circumstances.

Such an act of terror North Korea has been doing breaks down the World peace, and its detention of U.S female journalists tells the World that North Korea is a No.1 country, causing utmost violation of human rights.

If North Korea remains as it is now, the World will eventually turn its back on North Korea. And is this what North Korea really wants?

China's flying North Korea's flag in Tian an men's Square. doesn't sounds like NK's friends are turning their backs.

Yeah, no one is turning their backs. And we can say all we want about their human rights in North Korea, but there isn't a country in the world who isn't guilty.

Well I think that Korea should have satelites, but no missiles because they can misintrepreted as an act of agressivness towards the western world. I doubt that, but many people watch Fox News and well, they dont share the same opinion, lets leave it at that. Korea should watch out in terms of money for if they spend too much they`ll fall into a recession just like the rest of us. To the subject of North Korea and South Korea I am what they say in french Neutre, or neutral. Who knows, maybe Korea wants a space program or to travel space, or join the space station. That is for time to tell.

I don't see why North Korea shouldnt' be allowed to have missiles. US have tons so why not Korea?

And the Recession wont affect North Korea because it's been in a recession since it was created. It's too poor to be in one haha

Yeah I agree, NK should be allowed to have what they want, it's just their fault if they get more than 1 missile pointed back at them from not just the US, but other countries as well.

Pluse Fox news should be destroyed along with all over news agencies around the world because they all lie anyway.

I guess your right. Fox News can be pretty right-wing some times. They praised the bush adminstration while most other channels were showing his evil and real side. The US government can overeact alot to other nations developing military tech. For example: the Canadian Arrow plane. The US thought that Canada would sell this plane, the fastest in the worlfd at the time, to the Soviets, though Canada was an NATO ally. So the US demanded that these planes be destroyed. Canada was is at its heightn when it came to military tech, now most of our armed forces train with Korean war weapons (1950`s). So I agree. As long as they arent pointing missiles at the US, let them have their missiles.

Well even though the other news agencies told a different story from Fox News, they all sucked too. I hate CNN, FOX, BBC, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, and all the other ones that I've seen on TV. I prefer the alternative media sources....even though some of that is shit too...
