I'd like to help you with Mandarin althogh I'm not in Newsastle. I don't know what is the best way for you....maybe grasping more chances to practise as all the languages.

Hi，I am Chinese, but not in Newcastle. I am glad to help you learn Mandarin. I got teachers' qualification certificate after gratuating from University. So I have many good ways of learning Mandarin.
