*康橋 was an older translation of Cambridge. The newer modern translation of Cambridge = 劍橋

Very quietly I take my leave,
As quietly as I came here;
Quietly I wave good-bye,
To the rosy clouds in the western sky.

The golden willows by the riverside,
Are young brides in the setting sun;
Their reflections on the shimmering waves,
Always linger in the depth of my heart.

The floating heart growing in the sludge,
Sways leisurely under the water;
In the gentle waves of Cambridge,
I would be a water plant!

That pool under the shade of elm trees,
Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;
Shattered to pieces among the duckweeds,
Is the sediment of a rainbow-like dream.

To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream,
To where the green grass is more verdant;
Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight,
And sing aloud in the splendor of starlight.

But I cannot sing aloud,
Quietness is my farewell music;
Even summer insects keep silence for me,
Silent is Cambridge tonight!

Very quietly I take my leave,
As quietly as I came here;
Gently I flick my sleeves,
Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away.

Please utter that beautiful trembling sound lightly calling for

我心中的大好河山
wo xin zhong de da hao he shan
The magnificent splendid rivers and mountains within my heart

那只有长城外才有的清香
na zhi you chang cheng wai cai you de qing xiang
That clean fragrance only exists outside of the Great Wall

谁说出塞歌的调子太悲凉
shui shuo chu sai ge de diao zi tai bei liang
Who said that the tune of Out of the Great Wall Song is too desolate

如果你不爱听那是因为

If you don't love to listen to it, that is because

You don't have any longing in the song

However, we always have to sing and sing again

想着草原千里闪着金光
xiang zhuo cao yuan qian li shan zhuo jin guang
(and) think about the shimmering golden light hidden within the grassland of the thousand miles

想着风沙呼啸过大漠
xiang zhuo feng sha hu xiao guo da mo
Think about the sand storm howls through the grand desert

DRINKING ALONE WITH THE MOON

But still for a while I had these friends
To cheer me through the end of spring....
I sang. The moon encouraged me.

As long as I knew, we were boon companions.
And then I was drunk, and we lost one another.
...Shall goodwill ever be secure?
I watch the long road of the River of Stars.
