A question about my Chinese name

^_^ I had a question for you about Chinese names.

They are usually only 3 characters right? 2 for your first name and one for your surname. Well with my name being Cacie (Casey) Simon it tells me that my name would be
Kai3 Xi1 Xi1 Meng1 凯西 西蒙 or actually it would be written like this 西蒙 凯西 right?

I translated the characters to mean 西 is West 蒙 is deceive or hoodwinked and my first name is 凯 triumphant or victorious 西 West (again ^_^) Did I translate correctly?

Well I would like my name to be normal (or at least some what normal ^_^) Would it be odd if I didn't use 蒙 (because I don't deceive or hoodwink people) so could my Chinese name be 西凯西? That is an okay name right? I mean I am from the West so isn't it fitting that my name has that Character twice? Ha Ha ^_^

Thank you

I guess you want have a meaningful name. But 西凯西 is not very good . It sounds a little weird. In fact, 蒙凯西 is better. But it is still not a native Chinese name.

If you want a better Chinese name, please tell me what does your first name mean. Then maybe I can find some Chinese word to be your name.Or you can just use 西凯西 or 蒙凯西

My first name I believe means "vigilant" in Gaelic or "vigilant in war" my last name Simon I believe means "he has heard".

I would just like a native Chinese name. I don't even really mind it not being similar to my English name.

Thank you so much for your help.

what about the name 孙明韬(Sun1 ming2 tao1)?
many surname in China is no meaning.but many famous amy advisers have the surname "孙". 明has mean of "understand”or“Proficient”, and 韬 has a word 韬略 means “Strategy”. So maybe that name near the "vigilant" means.

and of course you can ask other Chinese friends to give some advice

Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.

OMG……I'm sorry,it's actually a boy's name. well,I should think about another name.

So, what about 苏颖(Su1 ying3)?in Song Dynasty, there is a poet called 苏轼.he had a little sister called 苏小妹, who was very clever and smart. So 苏 is a beautiful surname I think. and 颖 also means "clever and smart".That suits a girl who is pretty and excellent. I guess you are

well,凯西。西蒙is obviously a foreign girl's name,no one will seperate it into 凯。西。西。蒙,or think too much about that, everyone knows it's simply the pronunciation of english name.

蒙is not a bad word evern separately read, there is a popular old writer 王蒙,and a famouse general in chiense history is 蒙恬,i had a freind we called her 蒙蒙,that's lovely. If anyone laugh at you just because of 蒙,let those ignorance people shut up.

I just wanted to say thank you, everyone has been really helpful. I like all the names (熙婕 pinyin is Xi1 Jie2 right?) and the stories behind them (Now I'm going to research more about the people you all have mentioned thumbs up.

I think I like the name 苏颖(Su1 ying3)
Though is it alright just to have one given name along with one surname? Instead of two given names and one surname? I hope I'm not being bothersome, I just really want to understand.

Thank you again,
Cacie

(No one has made fun of me or laughed at me for using 西蒙 凯西。At least not to my knowledge winking smiley)

It's okay with one given name.Maybe it'll have some problem if you want to et an ID(身份证?) in China.Because there are too many people in China, and maybe there is someone have a same name with you.

But if you just want have a Chinese name, that's totally okay
