Why Chinese kungfu is so welcome in the world?

Chinese kung fu stories are world famous. They are called fairytales for adults. The novels of Louis Cha, known to most by his penname Jin Yong, all of which are adapted onto the big and small screens, are the most popular among them. What does our addiction to Jin say about us and our society?

First, ordinary people like you and me can become one of the kung fu masters. You don’t need a special family background or superb talent. No need for hard work; a couple of encounters can give you the kung fu that takes others decades of practice.

Why is kung fu fiction especially popular in China? Besides our fantasies, our social atmosphere seems also particularly suitable for this genre.

Chinese people have discovered in their long history the secret to everything: the barrel of a gun – it brings about political power, wealth, respect, women, success, everything. To fantasize about kung fu is to fantasize about the gun, or the mighty capability to harm.

I can say no ordinary people can become into Kung fu experts, and it does take some years at least to be ok.

Chinese kung fu is a art, it not for attacking people, is a way to protect ourselves, keeping ourselves away from dangerous, also, it can let your body more healthy! maybe it cant let you more strong, but it can let you more powerful when you want to leave the dangerous space.

We use Chinese gongfu to kick western asses that gives us a sense of national pride, I suppose.

Only a man with a pretty sad sense of pride needs gongfu to feel good about themselves.

Because Bruce Lee's real kungfu influenced these stupid foreigners who fight with fake kungfu [Steven Segal DOESN'T KNOW how to fight, and doesn't know real martial arts: same with Chuck Norris] and still make money? Get outta here! Only a few foreigners ever know real Kungfu or martial arts. Karate / Taekwondo are NOT KUNGFU!!! There are differences.
