Gift to give my chinese friend for new year....

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions... I have a who is on exchange from china, and she will be here for chinese new year. I am goign to get her a red envelope becasue she said she wanted one, But does anyone have any other ideas: like foods I can make to give her on the 7th of Feb or maybe some popular chinese candies to give her? any help would be greatly appreciated! what kind of dumpling?
