I student from Lithuania and I need your help...at the end of school year we'll have to write a term paper, something about Ancient China, but we have to present our topics next week.And the thing is ,that our teacher said us not to choose very simple, frequent themes... at first I chose laotong ( because I watched movie 'snow flower and the secret fan" and I got interested in this thing), but I wasn't able to find any academic sources,so I chose " depiction of woman as flower" and I thought I could talk about flower metaphor in poetry and then some daily life factors, that make this image to emerge ( like women clothing with flower patterns and bonded foot are called lotus), but I can't find enough information about that as well...so I thought, that maybe somebody knows some sources
