Elvis, the Cat King?

I've always wondered why Elvis was known as the 猫王 (māo wáng), literally the Cat King?

Oh... thanks, I never heard about this nickname before.
So a Chinese fan made a mix between « the King », « the Hillbilly Cat » to produce the « the Cat King »!!!
