金 means "gold", last name taken from the 金, Jin / Ch'in dynasty. Name chops are usually of artists or poet's names in Chinese, after their piece of work. There's no such thing as a "signature" like how it's written on paper today. It's a stylistic way of putting their name on paper.

NOTE on "English" signature, The last name is "King", which is an approximation from certain Chinese dialectal pronunciation, not sure which one.
