Chink is most common. For a full list of words you should know but shouldn't say go here!

LOL Edgar all asians are refered to with the same names because we can't tell the difference. So one person may call you a Jap while another will call you a Gook, while another will call you a Chink, and another may even call you a Slope. But it seems Chink is the preference for everyone these days. Even though a friend of mine got called a "damn gook bastard" recently lol.

Lordarithon,就没有像“老外”这样的中性词? 我知道在老外眼里亚洲人几乎长得都一样。同样,在亚洲人眼里也分不清老外之间有什么区别。

Uberche,你的网址很好很强大,写得很详细。

I'm not 100% sure what you are saying Edgar, my translation on this one is a little rough. Do you mean that for Asian people it's hard for them to distinguish the western people too?? Or are you saying you don't understand why it's hard??

another time a japanese came straight to me excitingly :ni hong jing de si ga?ni hong jing.......before i said no it really took me a while to figure out the logic:presume i am a japanese and use japanese to ask me i am a japanese or not....great...

Ah I got it now Edgar. I'd say the Norther European looking people would all look the same. Just as all the Latin people should look the same as well. Not to mention all the black people should look the same. It is hard to tell the difference between someone from England and someone from France or something like that.

Plupie your friend is funny, and you probably could have gotten away with it too lol.

Uberche...I used to have the same hair style as Howie from the back street boys back in 2000 and 2001....I almost got mobbed by a group of 12 and 13 year olds at the mall one day....I left in a hurry after that. You ask why did they come after me?? BSB was in town that weekend...in fact they were playing a show that night....but as for now in my life. I keep being told I look like Captain Jack Sparrow....I've been hearing Captain Jack Sparrow since 2002...

Lordarithon:东欧和西欧的人我能分清一点点,南美人我分不太清了,南美人都很飘逸。

我主要还是听要他们说得是什么话来区分。

plupie: 我有一本英文的japanese phrasebook, could you speak a little more slowly please?(motto yukkuri ni hanashite kudasaimasu ka?)相当的有意思。
拼音还是帮了不少外国朋友学中文,我想如果没有拼音他们还不得疯了,首先教中文的人就得先疯了。

中国人,韩国人,日本人其实外表的差异还是挺大的,我们自己是可以看出来的。

haha that's awesome. One day it was pouring rain and I was in Nanjing walking home without an umbrella and two girls came and just gave me one of their umbrellas. I asked why and she said "You look like David Beckham!" I had spiked my hair into a Mohawk that morning and apparently that's all it took. Good for me! Now where's my hot wife?!

HAHAHAHAH I got 7 right.

Edgar, it's cool you can distinguish them. I can as well. Infact I can usually tell if someone is German as opposed to from the UK. I can't tell the different between the German and the Dutch though lol.

As for the Latin Americans. There is a difference in a lot of cases. Like I can sometimes guess when someone is from Argentina, I can usually tell when someone is Brazilian, and I can most of the time get it right when someone is from Mexico. The Hondurans, Nicaraguans, and Mexicans all look the same mostly.

So yeah that's how it goes lol. But I find it funny because there are plenty of Chinese that can't tell the difference between someone form the UK and someone from Mexico lol.
