What job?

For locals probably around 3000rmb/month.
For Freshly graduated students they get around 3000-5000/month.
For hookers/ktv girls around 7000-10000rmb/month.
And now you know why there are so many pretty girls are actually going for such activities.

LOL yup KTV is a very...interesting place at night in Shanghai...lol So next time you are there and walking to the bathroom just glance into the other rooms and don't be too surprised to see singing naked girls lol.

Just in companies. Salaries rise as working years. And that lever is for accounting, some other bonus and allowance are added in many companies, so maybe higher. It’s true for fresh graduates with master degree, phd much higher, bachelor lower.
People in government dept. get a small salary count, but big cash every month. So you have to point out, how much money you make, not just salary.

Industrial/office low-to-middle management jobs can pay from 15 to 30,000+ RMB/month... Industrial salesmen 6 to 12,000...

I think it depends on the company and postition you're going for. For Chinese company suggest follow the local, but if it's an office for foreign companies it will be a bit different.
