I'd like to know from you guys where in the cities mentioned above there are clubs and bars in which there are only local people and and also they won't stare at you as though you had come from Mars.....plus, clubs in which there are outgoing and cute girls who are willingly to date with foreigners.

haha Maybe in HK, but of all the bars in Beijing and Shanghai I have seen you have a choice.

1) A bar with foreigners where you'll fit in nicely and is full of girls looking for foreigners so no one will stare at you

or

2) A bar with locals where you will be stared at and watched but also full of girls who will probably be very happy to meet you.

If you want a bar full of Locals who will treat you as a Local go home because they are almost impossible to find here.

As for Beijing bars, San Li Tun and Hou Hai are the two big bar areas. If you want Locals HouHai is more likely, San Li Tun is also the foreigner district.

Shanghai, probably the Bund is the best place to find bars though not sure about ones with locals only.

Simply put you are asking for too much. You want a place with locals, where you wont be stared at but still get treated well by the girls. You have to take the good with the bad, you get stared at and THAT'S why you get good service, the good table and seat and have girls come say hello. it's a hard life for a foreigner in China winking smiley But someone has to live it....

In Shanghai across from the Jin Mao tower there are two street level bars. They are almost side by side. Regular brick and mortar buildings. Not difficult to find.

The first place was dead (on a week night), two floors, two couples, a few others, and an over friendly girl who I think was part of the establishment. Good staff. Pool table(s?). Anybody staring? Not at all, too dark maybe. They seem like start-ups both of them and I hope they're still there. It's been about a year.

The second place had great staff and more people that evening. Who would venture into such a quaint place from say.. the Hyatt Grand? No one they said. Just locals and friends, and their friends' friends. It was fun. I think these places could really get going on weekends.

They did ask me tho, like, where did you come from? But it had more to do with the location and the time I think (guess i didn't look like the kind of guy who'd stay at the Hyatt Grand.. ha-ha! -just as well! ). Not many people on the street and it is a bit of a walk from the apartments in the area.

about bars in shanghai, except the jinmao tower zone,there's another street on hengshan road~~actually last year two of my friends came to shanghai and asked me to show them the most famed bar street here, everyone recommended me hengshan road :0) we went there and then agreed that bars in shanghai are not as funny as those in shenzhen.

Their are discos bar in shanghai beijing quite a lot, less as in Europe , but largely enough , no
problem , they will not stare at you or touch your face .

Girls wear often short hot. their is often a table reservation system that cover a large part
of the disco , but still a normal bar .
Most of them have no entrance fee just One glass 30 yuans .

But there is just a little difference with our disco in Europe .
In Europe you go to disco , their are no prostitutes . Its prostitute relax , just young people .
The entrance bodyguard don’t let them in .

Here in china , in a lot of disco sometimes like 10 or 20 percent of the girls clients are .
and they hid it , they make it sly .You can talk one hour without guessing anything .
She makes you waisting your time before she said it or you guess it .
They even kiss one hour for free , and surprise she talk about the night fee .

Generally , i answer , i m ok with the money system , i m in good shape ,
do sport , you are ok but , I m more hansome ,attractive , than you , right now , then you pay me the 200 .
That upset them a bit .


It seems that here , a disco or a bar with foreigners clients must be decorated with some
prostitutes ( xiaojie ) .
They generally bribe the entrance service bodyguard , i saw some , they give him 50 yuans .

But this business exists because their are some not brave men that buy that .
In some places it’s really too much .

Eh but in this discos bars they are still plenty of normal girls , the major part , not interesting in money .

bars in beijing, sanlitun there is a bar street ,more foriengers than chinese ,noisy bar.
nanluoguxiang, an old alley,small and quiet bars,the smallest is only 12 square meters ---one table in it. i like there more.many visitors
not far from nanluoguxiang is the beihai,bars r along a lake(so called beihai).local ppl like to go there.
