What are the best spots in China?

I'm new here.. Where is the best place to visit in China & exciting things to do dere.. Thanks all! spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

You can go to Gulou avenue and Nan luogu xiang,
these places are full of chinese character.

Should mention the two places Jenny mentioned are in Beijing.

As for other places, My favourite are Huangshan, Yunnan (Stay away from LiJiang unless you want LOTS and LOTS of people, Dali and Shangrila are better), Guilin, Inner Mongolia (the dessert is amazing)
