Hi:
My name is Steve and I just signed up onto the China Club site. A number of years ago I started to teach myself Chinese, but had to stop (only a beginner). I remember how to say a number of things in Chinese. I would love to speak Chinese. Am also fascintated with Chinese characters and would love to learn them (know some basic characters). Would you kindly give me some advice as to where (on-line) or how to start learning Chinese? Many years ago I went to Europe and after 1 month in Italy learned to speak conversational Italian. Have forgotten Italian as I haven't had a chance to practice it with anyone. What I'm getting at is that in the process of being immersed among Chinese people, I'll best learn Chinese. I live in the Washington, D.C. area (shere there are a lot of Chinese), but I don't know anyone who could help me. Thank-you so very much for your kindness in offering to help. Steve Hi Steve,I cannot post my responses to your question here. So I send an email message to you at your AOL address. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/25/2012 12:26AM by Eqxt.
