me too. i was in awe the whole time. not to mention that a lot of historic events happened this olympics, like breaking world records previously unbroken.

Yes, my sentiment, exactly. These were the best Olympics I can remember.
Everything was new, clean and at the highest technical level imaginable.
It's odd to say, but I felt at home watching these games. China did an
amazing job of opening their doors for the world and making all of us
feel welcome. I saw many examples of good harmony in sport and in the
way everyone participated, at all levels. Good job Beijing!
