What are some colloquial ways to say the opposite of a snob ?

Humble would probably be the best that I can think of off hand.

In summation sentence someone who is a "people person" is personable.

"Down-to-earth" can also be used to mean "humble".

Eg He's a down-to-earth person.

Down to Earth is good, it describes a humble person with a docile personality.

I would rather be around down-to-eart people than the radicals and left wingers.

I do agree with this Chineseethan, any person can be down to earth.
but for this particular statement, It might depend on who you ask as to the answer you get on wether or not the left winger is Down-to-Earth.

right-winger = a person who wishes to conserve or preserve the way things are currently.

I would hope a rational right winger would think exactly what you did, that any person can be down to earth.
