MORE INFO:

Miyavi was born on September 14, 1981 in Konohana-ku, Osaka, Japan is a Japanese recording artist and entertainer. Currently the guitarist in supergroup S.K.I.N., he is also the former guitarist for Dué le Quartz, which disbanded in 2002.
Miyavi is active in the current visual kei and mainstream rock scene in Japan.
Miyavi's ever evolving style is always surprising and innovative, and in This Iz the Japanese Kabuki Rock, he's created something truly unique.
The sound is a blend of pop, rock, and hip-hop mostly, with bits and pieces of other genres mixed in Miyavi dubbed "Neo-Visualism". It's not a complete departure from Miyavi's guitar driven songwriting, but it is his most collaborative work. A dj, a beatboxer, and a tap dancer contribute to the tracks alongside your standard bassist and drummer, and of course Miyavi himself.

Celtic Legends, the show that started in tiny venues in France 6 years ago has now grown into a monster sized show filling huge venues across Europe, having played to over 1 million people now. There have been some exciting developments lately that we can now share with everyone. We are now looking in a new direction artistically and have invited Chicago based musicians, Liz Knowles and Kieran O Hare on board as the new composers and musical directors of the biggest live touring Irish dance show out there. Having
completed a sold out arena tour in France, we have a busy schedule for 2009 including a mammoth visit to China playing the biggest theaters in many of its largest cities.

The tickets are on hot selling now!

More Information:

Irish Dance: Dancing Thru the Ages
Irish dance is a group of traditional dance forms originating in Ireland which can broadly be divided into social dance and performance dances. Irish social dances can be divided further into céilí and set dancing. Irish set dances are quadrilles, danced by 4 couples arranged in a square, while céilí dances are danced by varied formations (ceili) of couples of 2 to 16 people. In addition to their formation, there are significant stylistic differences between these two forms of social dance. Irish social dance is a living tradition, and variations in particular dances are found across the Irish dance community; in some places, dances are deliberately modified and new dances are choreographed.

Irish performance dancing is traditionally referred to as stepdance. Irish stepdance is notable for its rapid leg movements, body and arms being kept largely stationary. Most competitive stepdances are solo dances, though many stepdancers also perform and compete using céilí dances. The solo stepdance is generally characterized by a controlled but not rigid upper body, straight arms, and quick, precise movements of the feet. The solo dances can either be in "soft shoe" or hard shoe".

The dancing traditions of Ireland probably grew in close association with Irish traditional music. Originating in Pre-Christian Ireland, Irish dance was later influenced by dance forms from the Continent, especially the Quadrille. Travelling dancing masters taught all over Ireland, as late as the early 1900s.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra
The London Philharmonic Orchestra is recognised as one of the world's great orchestras, and following Sir Thomas Beecham's founding tenure the ensemble's Principal Conductorship has been passed from one celebrated musician to another. It is the only symphony orchestra in the UK to combine an annual subscription concert season with regular work in the opera house - resident at both the Royal Festival Hall and Glyndebourne Festival Opera (also performing regularly in the nearby south coast towns of Brighton and Eastbourne).

Touring forms a significant part of the Orchestra's performing schedule, and it regularly appears in North America, Europe and the Far East, often headlining at major festivals and concert-hall openings. As a counterpoint to its travels, the Orchestra's membership has itself benefited from increased migratory freedoms, today including outstandingly talented musicians of varying world nationalities from Brazilian to Hungarian.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra has long been embraced by the recording, broadcasting and film industries. It enjoys strong relationships with major record labels and in 2005 began releasing live, studio and archive recordings on its own label CDs which are distributed worldwide. The Orchestra has broadcast regularly on domestic and international television and radio from both the concert hall and the opera house, and has worked extensively with both Hollywood and the UK film industries, recording soundtracks for blockbuster motion pictures including the Oscar-winning score for The Lord of the Rings trilogy and scores for Lawrence of Arabia, The Mission, East is East and In the Name of the Father.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra's international reputation is matched by a steadfast and unflinching commitment to the communities of its local London boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. The Orchestra reaches thousands through its varied and extensive programme of education work, both community and school-based, which includes the acclaimed offshoot ensembles Renga and the Band. Education activities also nurture budding excellence, and in 2005 the Orchestra launched its apprenticeship scheme for young instrumentalists, Future Firsts, who benefit from a year of mentoring and performance opportunities.

Players: Top tennis players in the world, among them women’s top 50 and at least half of the men’s top 30 have to participate in the tournament according to the regulation.

Highlights of China Open 2009:

“Right Time”

China Open 2009 Tennis Tournament is set to be held during the national public holiday, when people will have enough time to enjoy the matches. And for the tennis fans, watching the top tennis tournament in the world on site is not a dream any more. People can watch WTA Crown-Jewel Events and ATP 500 Series by going to the National Tennis Center which located in Beijing,

“Right Place”

The Beijing Olympic Tennis Center, which resembles a blossoming lotus attracted people’s attention. With memories of China's historic Olympic success at the stadium still permeating the local consciousness, the stage is set for the China Open 2009 for the first time and will be the exclusive venue for the China Open Tennis Tournament.

“Right People”

China Open 2009 will be upgraded to Asia's top tennis tournament and become the only one in Asia which includes men’s, women’s and junior’s events. The bonus will be up to 6,600,000 U.S. dollars, which makes China Open equal the well-known Indian Wells Tournament, Miami Ericsson Open and Madrid Open. Besides, women’s event of China Open will become one of the four "crown jewel” tournaments which is top tier in the Tour.

Beijing outbid Dubai, Tokyo and Bangkok to become one of just four cities to host the elite event, which makes it mandatory for the world's top 50 female players. The top 10 players will be subject to severe penalties if they withdraw without good reason. As a result, big names like William Sisters, Safina, Jankovic,Sharapova and Ivanovic might be on the China Open 2009 list.

Besides watching the matches, people can also enjoy lots of tennis games, special caterings and offerings and other leisure activities.

The Upgrade of China Open:

After the upgrade, China Open will become Asia's top tennis tournament, ranking eighth in the world.

China Open will have the most extensive coverage among Asia’s tennis tournaments, with 700 million domestic television coverage and 200 hours’ broadcasting time. The international television coverage is estimated about 12 million people over 60 countries, and the broadcasting time is expected to 280 hours.
