韩国棒子 similar to chink or negro is considered disrespectful. I met a few Korean friends when I was at uni. From my experience they're polite and friendly people and therefore civilised just like everyone else.

Statement "I think it should be chinese now,not corean, anyway, corean is better and more civilized than chinese a little bit. " is a little confrontational. And corean should be spelt as Korean.

Every place has well-educated gentlemen and under-educated jerks. If you followed mass media to conclude Korean is more civilised than Chinese you're a victim of the media and I feel sorry for you. But I am pretty sure you dont mean this do you?

Technofoxai11792 speaking of singers, apart from techno, I like Kate Miller, Taylor Swift, Pink, etc, but I have to point out no Kenya West please. No offense to his fans but I personally dont like this guy due to his outburst at CMA.

My favorite band is Cascada.

Great songs come out from time to time lol. So its hard to tell which one is my fav. Recently I love evacuate the dance floor, last day on the earth, you belong with me, new divide, etc. In particular I like new divide a lot is partially because of transformers but also the song is really awesome!

Hello!
I spent some 8 years living in China near Guangzhou. There I met some artist painters from the Academy of Art. ONe of them CHEN Weixiong asked me one day if I could help me organize an exhibition in Europe. This I did in France 2008. It was a big success. After that some of 20 other painters asked me to help them promote outside China. So I made a website in which you can now see some oil paintings and water colour. All kind of style, some are classics, some are modern, it is worse a visit.
I invite you to visit my site at http://www.chin-art.com
Through this forum I try to share their artworks and promote them outside China. As you may know artists are most of the time poor during their lives. So imagine how can live a Chinese artists... So perhaps some of you will be interested in some paintings to help them earn their lives. Thanks and I wish you nice visit at chin-art.com !

Jaspersue, checked your profile, you are Chinese, right? Interesting, for many Chinese this poem is so overloaded with concepts, that is is hard for them to see behind and track back to its roots. And in today's education in China there is very little space for serious dispute of Classical Chinese literature (probably still more then in Europe, but not much).

Hi Jaspersue,

do you refer to the translation I posted? Your comment is a little .... hm, shall I say "terrible"? Or "unqualified"?

There are different approaches for translating Chinese lyrics and it is always the question, which level of meaning you want to keep in the translated version. Most translations of the poem focus on the very surface emotions and try to put this "common sense" into a new form. As for the translation above the social aspects of the Chinese culture and the ways of expressing feelings are still present. It is also close to the reduced and frugal form of the poem. I like that.

Lately I read a legend about Chinese zodiac signs. I dunno if anyone here knows about these signs, bug anyway, the story is attracting me. I wanna share the legend with you.:)-D
In Chinese myth, the world has 3 layers, the heaven in the sky, the human world on the ground, and the hell underground. If a dead has done a lot of good deeds before he dies, his soul may go to the heaven, and may become one of the gods or fairies in the heaven. But a bad guy such as a murderer or something, may go to the hell to suffer from a lot of punishments. Anyway, this was not so important, some of you may already know it. The legend of the zodiac sign is:
One day, the jade emperor who’s the king of the heaven’s palace, is going to celebrate his birthday. He gave an order to all animals to greet him in the coming birthday. And he wanted to appoint the 12 earliest comers to be the guards of the path between the human world and the heaven.
At that time, the cat and the mouse are neighbors. The cat was always sleepy and waked up very late, so when they heard the order, the cat asked the mouse to call him up at the jade emperor’s birthday. The mouse complied. But he didn’t keep his promise in that morning coz he didn’t want himself to be out of the 12 earliest.
However, there’s a wide river on his way. He couldn’t do anything to cross the river but only to wait for others to give him a ride. And then the ox came. The mouse asked for help and promised to let ox to be the 1st one when they reach the palace. You know ox is very kind and has no bad idea. So he gave the mouse a ride to cross the river and finally reached heaven’s palace. At that moment, the mouse didn’t anyone’s help anymore, so he didn’t keep his promise again. He ran very fast to the emperor and got the 1st. This is why a little mouse could be the 1st in a race. And after that, the cat began to hate the mouse coz he was sleeping till the birthday party was over. He swore to kill the mouse, and the chasing lasted till today.
This is only the story about the mouse, actually there’s more but it’s too long to be posted here. I don’t know if anyone here likes this story but I do like it.
I’m crazy for it and I searched everything about zodiac animals, stories, Chinese horoscope, Zodiac Online game and much more. I hope to find someone who’s crazy for zodiac signs just like me.

The Rat is in Chinese horoscope, i have always thought rat was respected in regards to wealth, shrewd business and cleverness.

I quote "Being born a Rat is nothing to be ashamed of. In China, the Rat is respected and considered a courageous, enterprising person. It is deemed an honor to be born in the Year of the Rat and it is considered a privilege to be associated with a Rat. Rats know exactly where to find solutions and can take care of themselves and others without problems. They use their instinctive sense of observation to help others in times of need and are among the most fit of all the Animal signs to survive most any situation"

you can read it yourself, i know it just a website but must have some truth in it:
