Hi Laura,
so pleased to meet you, my name is Jorgen, I am Danish.
I started studying Mandarin two years ago, I have been to Beijing 3 times, 3 months each time.
This year I spent 6 months in Beijing, last time I lived 3 months in a small apartment in Chao Dou Hutong by Nan Luo Gu Xiang.
I hope to be in Beijing the first four months of 2011.
Now here in Denmark i miss my daily one-on-one lesson in Chinese.
Can you teach me online? Twice a week?
I would like to pay you for the lessons. I had a very good teacher in Beijing, I paid her 50 RMB per lesson (one hour).
My email is nikofri@live.dk.
Best wishes,
Jorgen

Thank you:)
But it seems that most people prefer mandarin training schools...
It's a little bit hard to find students who want private instructors. I'm willing to teach freely and waiting for the advice. Share what we know.

> Hey.
>
>
> Are you looking for people who live locally or
> have you considered using Skype or similar to
> teach? It may be a bit difficult, but i have no
> problem talking to some of my Chinese friends
> using them.
>
>
> If you are only looking for people to teach
> locally in person then i wish you all the best :)

Hey, thanks for the idea of teaching via skype. I think the problem is that I don't have much time online so I want some locally-living students.

Anyway, thank you for your advice.:)

Hi forum,

I’m Laura from Haidian, Beijing. I work in a public institution and finish work at 4.30pm everyday. I graduated last year as an English major. I have been teaching Chinese as a foreign language for two years in spare time (usually 1v1 class) and have passed the national-leveled Test of Mandarin Proficiency in high score (mark95.7, 1st grade).

I used to be the Chinese tutor for two Japanese students in my collage, a British teacher who works in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and a Korean hotelier in Kempinski Beijing. We do elementary and medium level lessons, some for reading and some for speaking only.

Currently I'm teaching a girl from South Africa. We have class two times a week. We have been having lessons for more than one year, but she's leaving Beijing this month so I'm searching for someone new who wants to have Chinese lessons in spare time.

I am willing to offer private Chinese instruction, especially elementary courses and HSK guidance. Also I can teach dialect of Beijing if you want to learn some.

I can talk fluently in English, but my class will be taught mainly in Chinese for class needs. My class goes mainly on conversations and practical actions to make the learner feel free and easy to learn, not many grammatical things envolved. And if you want to follow a certain book, I can prepare for that.

Time-lasting of each lesson depends on your choice (often 1-2 or 2-3 hours).

My Available Time for Teaching:

---Monday to Friday: 19:00 - 22:00
---Weekends: 8:00 - 22:00

If you want to learn Chinese for daily and business use, or to improve your skills of communication in Chinese, you are always welcomed to contact me.:) I am waiting for your advice for a happy working together between us.:)-D
