Students will have one teacher for each class type, giving them multiple approaches to their language learning.
Speaking Class: focuses on practical Chinese language skills of speaking, listening and reading phonetics with emphasis on conversation.
Comprehensive Class: improves students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, the fundamental four bricks of building a foundation for the language.
Class Levels
Omeida small group classes (typically 2-6 students) provide an interactive and engaging learning environment. All students begin classes with other students at the same of similar proficiency level. Placement test are given prior to beginning a Chinese course program to ensure proper placement. Omeida then constantly evaluates student progress and may periodically move students to the best available class for their rate of progress and proficiency level.
Class levels are divided as follows:
A : Beginner / A1 (0-400 words), A2 (400-800 words)
Beginner level includes students that
have never learned Chinese, or who have learned Chinese phonetics and a few words, but cannot express themselves in complete sentences.
B : Elementary / B1 (800-1100 words), B2 (1100-1500 words)
Elementary level students are required
to know at least 800 Chinese words. These students have basic knowledge of systematic grammar and sentence structure.
C : Intermediate / C1 (1500-2000 words), C2 (2000-2500 words)
Intermediate level students are required
to know at least 1500 Chinese words. These students are conversational at a basic level in Chinese.
D : Advanced / D1 (2000-3000 words), D2 (3000-3500 words)
Advanced level students are required to know at least 2000 Chinese words. These students can express their opinions and general topics with good intonation.
E : Proficient / E1 (3500+ words)
Proficient level students are required to know at least 3,500 Chinese words.
These students are able to read from newspapers and magazines, understand radio and television broadcasts, and can express themselves systematically using appropriate expressions and language norms.

17:00 - 18:00 : Free tutoring (optional), sports such as Ping Pong, basketball, volleyball, badminton etc.

Note:
Omeida provides the service of finding a long-term language partner for our students to practice after class. Those partners are native Chinese speakers.
Every Thursday evening we will organize activities such as tongue twist, quiz, riddles, BBQ, Chinese speech contest , singing, etc.
Various outdoor activities will be organized on weekends, for example, rock-climbing, hiking, cycling, camping, BBQ, swimming, kayaking etc.
