It sounds like a recipe for disaster; a show that combines opera, the circus, and cartoons and is told in Mandarin. But in the hands of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the pair behind animated rockers the Gorillaz, the opera "Monkey: Journey to the West" is breaking new ground.
