Village in memory by Cai Qifa

In memory the beauty of my country

Is that house with old roofing tile

and new one

far away looking forward

out of or in the light fog

really Like a puff of gauze haunting

around the dream

The stream unnamed passes by the entry

The sound of waves’ splashing always

collects the four season

Babble the clean water for baptizing

from north to south

giving off an deep fragrance

like morning dew

Lowly drooping the little grasses reflect the dark green

by the stream

more brilliant and fantastic Unnamed wild flowers

The shadows of doors cluster in the creek

The villagers warming winter enjoy the life

at leisure

Or feel the cool with breezing

of the light wind

The beautiful country in my memory

Is the dress with rainbow

always floatingin the sky and

is that stream

swallowing pain and sorrow of life

with ripples deep-hearted touching

the sweet dream
