Conversation 2 : How much for one pound of grape?
Translation- How much for one pound of grape? ( grapefruit, how much one pound? )
- 2.5 Yuans one pound. How many pound do you want?
- I want 3 pounds and an half.
Conversation 3 : Do you need something else?
Translation- Do you need something else?
- I also want 3 pounds of strawberry. How do you sell watermelon?
- 8 Maos one pound. One is around 4 pounds.
- I take a watermelon aswell.
Conversation 4 : How much in all?
Translation- How much in all?
- In all, 29.95 Yuans ( 29 Yuans 9 Maos 5 Cents ).
- I don't have small change, here is 50 ( Yuans ), please give the change.
GrammarDemonstrative pronouns 这 and 那When the demonstrative pronoun 这 or 那 functions as an attributive, the noun it qualifies also takes a measure word before it.Example:
- 这种地图 this kind of map
- 这个月 this month
- 那个老师 that teacher
The measure word 些些 is a measure word showing an indefinite quantity and is usually used after 这, 那, 哪... to modifiy nouns.Example:
- 一 些 东西 some stuff
- 这 些 地图 those maps
- 哪 些 人？ which people?
